I was a successful Business Analyst and Project Manager in the corporate world for 27 years, going to work every day in a suit and tie. Every day was the same story – to make the company a better profit – and I really loved it! I loved it so much, that I was working more time than I was paid for, but I was successful. Well in my work life anyway.
Eventually, I had a wake up call and I started exploring the possibility of working for myself and making money for myself. In this search what I realized was of far greater value to the world than just making money for myself. I realized that the key to real true happiness and success was in helping others.
My passion is helping and EMPOWERING people to ultimately create FREEDOM in their lives. I discovered that helping, teaching empowering and mentoring people who desire abundance in life is a rewarding experience. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting out or if you have been going for a while, it doesn’t matter what company you are with, or are contemplating, I am happy to help and share what I’ve learned so you can achieve the success you desire.
We all want something we don’t have. Perhaps you can identify with one of these :

MINDSET.
You will need a “success mindset” – one that KNOWS you will succeed and then the persistence to stick with your goals through the inevitable ups and downs in any business. One filled with action that treats your business like a business and not a hobby.
Now if you’re saying “hang on, I don’t know if I have that mindset…”, then you will need to develop one or you may have to reconsider whether being an entrepreneur is for you.
The good news is you can develop your mindset if you are willing to work on yourself through personal development. I am going to be brutally honest with you….. Your business will only grow as much as you grow as a person. 95% of your success hinges on your personal development.
As someone famous once said, “if you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” The question is which do you think? To be truly successful, you need to KNOW you can do it.
So how can I help you?
I’m a straightforward guy who believes that when we operate from a platform of our AUTHENTIC self, we have the capability to create anything we want for ourselves.
I believe that life is all about being authentic and in alignment with our life purpose. And for me, my purpose has always been to help and EMPOWER others by being straight and up front with them. Not by peddling misleading information or empty promises. My intention is to provide REAL value to the lives of everyone I come in contact with. I’m about providing content that you can use to create REAL results in your business and in your life.
Helping others to get what they want is my MISSION in life. It was very hard, but I faced my fears, identified and burned my limiting beliefs, and overcome obstacles in my life. Now I have tapped my inner POWER and the belief in myself to manifest my desires, dreams, and goals I used to think were IMPOSSIBLE to achieve.
Many people have helped me and now I want to pay it forward. That is the purpose of this blog. To provide information that will help, support and empower you to tap YOUR inner power, and better understand your desires and goals and your chosen path. To be the best you can be!
To truly change your life you have to have the courage to accept yourself exactly how you are now, no matter how bad it may appear, and then set out to change it. You need to believe in yourself and back yourself.
Are you ready to for change?
There is no mistaking it, success is hard work. Life throws all sorts of curly ones at you and overcoming them is hard work, but only if you’re not in alignment with your life purpose and your SELF.
Of course, I don’t have all the answers, I can only relate my experience. However, if you want to change your life , if you want to make a difference to the world, but just need a little help from someone who will give it to you straight about what you need to do to get there, then you’re in the right place.
There is so much power and creativity buried within us all and we just need to know how to discover it, bring it out to touch and impact the lives of others. We were created with everything we need to succeed but through our school systems, society and our upbringings, we adopted limiting belief systems that have kept us from reaching our full potential in life. We need to discard those limiting belief systems and move forward. I challenge you to look within yourself and find the strength and the power that is contained within YOU. This power is infinitely creative and when you tap into it, there are no boundaries to what you can do.
On this blog, I will discuss such things as discovering your inner power to manifest anything you desire in life including SUCCESS, whatever that means to you, and FREEDOM, how to be a true LEADER, how to be your AUTHENTIC self and not someone else, how to provide unconditional service and to connect with people on a much deeper level, how to monetize your life purpose and get paid for doing what you love, and how to ATTRACT prospects and clients who ask to do business with you by being up front and authentic.
OK. What else do I need?
I will share with you what I have learned about doing business online and what you will need, but first, I’d like to introduce you to my family and share with you about who I am as a person and where I’ve been that led me to where I am today.
Meet my family – we’re just ordinary people who love to do family things and have fun . . . . and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Who am I?
I graduated from university and went straight into business as an Application Software Consultant and Business Analyst. I would perform similar roles with ever increasing responsibility for the next fourteen years, the first three in Melbourne, before moving to Sydney. I spent the final two years working in SE Asia and Guyana of all places. (Guyana was an experience!).
I loved my career in the application software implementation and support field. I spent many waking hours toiling away at it, and I was very good at it and obtained great satisfaction in designing solutions to business problems and empowering and enabling businesses and the people within them to get what they wanted.
Over the years, I got “comfortable and secure” in what I did. However, on returning from working overseas, I felt stale and realized I needed a change. Based on the number of hours I spent working, it will be no surprise to you that I was still single. I took a risk and I walked away from my career. I took a 25% pay cut and went into the Transport Industry. I had been a Business Analyst, it was in my blood, and the first thing I did was work “at the coalface” and while doing so, I documented the processes and paper trail of that multi faceted business. I rose through the ranks and held senior management positions over the next five years. I had again been successful. The business was then bought out and swallowed up into a large transport conglomerate and I found myself “pigeon holed” in roles, which in retrospect, I did not really enjoy.
Just prior to the buy out, I married Barbara and we were blessed with twin girls, Genevieve and Lizbeth fifteen months later. The going was really tough with two new babies back then, and I just coasted professionally. Then seventeen months later, our son Adrian arrived and things got a little harder than they were already. I took the easy road I suppose and stayed put professionally, performing IT administration roles and later Business Intelligence system design and implementation roles, although I never really enjoyed these roles for a number of reasons.
I was always very busy and was getting more and more tired and irritable. Six years had passed and one day, one of my daughters asked me why I was always so tired and cranky. That was my wake up call that maybe I had my priorities out of balance. I was not in alignment with and performing my life purpose. It was then that I decided that I needed to get out of where I was and begin doing something that fulfilled my life purpose and allowed me to spend major time with the most important people in my life…my family. Hence I became a “lifestyle guru”.
Now I had to find a vehicle to earn the money to support the lifestyle I now had. I looked at a number of options, both bricks and mortar opportunities and online opportunities. In the end, I decided the internet was the future and a home based business was the vehicle to deliver it for us. I had no real idea what I was doing. I had never done product marketing of any kind before, but I had marketed myself throughout my working life, and that was key.
I started my business and I invested thousands of dollars in my education, including personal development, and on marketing. Along the way, I learned many lessons on the power within I wrote about above, and on what to do and what not to do. And it is this knowledge I can pass on to you to save you the pitfalls I experienced throughout this process.
As I wrote above, one of the major things I discovered was that personal development was key in understanding my power within and developing and maintaining the mindset I needed to be successful. I was a knowledgeable person when it came to knowing the key success factors of a business and I was very confident in my ability to help others achieve what they desired in business, as I had done very successfully for many years prior. But that was not enough.
During my period of development, I read the material of and met many successful people. I learned a powerful lesson and that was to be willing to “pay it forward” to others, just as they had been for me. It is all part of something we call “personal branding”. I have always been one for serving others, but this lesson about role modeling and the spirit of giving, sharing and caring is now embedded within me even more rigidly and I pay it forward to others on a daily basis.
To Today
Today I spend time with my family, travel more, and have balance in my life.
I’m so glad I woke up, became aligned with and began living my life purpose, I worked very hard to get to where I am today and it was not easy. It would have been easier to just quit, and go back to the corporate world I knew. But that would have been a backward step, not made me happy and been plain wrong. Besides, anyone who knows me will tell you I’m not a quitter. In fact I tend to get rusted on to what I commit myself too. Nothing was going to keep me from my commitment to have a successful business and to help and empower others get what they want. Again, it’s a mindset. Also having a mentor along the way is a tremendous help and I love to be that for others.
I can teach you everything I know about making money online and specifically how you can use personal branding and web 2.0 strategies which are no cost ways to allow people to know, like and trust you online. Allied to this is developing and maintaining your mindset and knowledge of yourself through personal development.
People today
I talk to a lot of people who say they want success but I often don’t see the drive and commitment behind that desire. Many are looking for an automated system to plug into where money falls into their lap. Or they are looking for something for free. It DOES NOT exist.
There is no “magic pill” or “armchair ride” when it comes to making money on the internet. You will need to work and work hard!
So, if you are looking for a quick solution to all your problems, a get rich quick scheme, you are in the wrong place. There is nothing here for you. This blog is for people who are committed to finding their purpose, empowerment, work, growth and ultimate freedom.
Having a successful online business takes desire, commitment and a willingness to learn and implement, all while doing personal development to grow into the leader and business owner that’s required to be successful.
I don’t except excuses from people. It takes a desire and a learning curve to venture into new ground and some time and financial investment to get started. It’s about making a decision and taking action. It’s really that simple. Having to learn skills for a home business to me was no different than 27 years ago when I started as a business analyst.
I DECIDED I wanted a certain lifestyle and to live my life purpose so . . .
I TOOK ACTION, and TOOK ACTION again until I achieved the desired results.
It’s been a series of decisions and deliberate action steps for me. I continue to take action to continue the growth of my business. Its hard work and dedication, however that is what is required to continue to grow.
You’ve got to roll up your sleeves and work hard. Whether it takes you 1 month, 1 year, 2 years, or whatever, you persevere to learn it, figure it out, establish your online presences, posture yourself as a leader, its work. But, the rewards for this short term work are fantastic.
I’ve realized people are hungry for the truth. People out there are willing to work, they just want the truth about it and to be guided on the path
There is a lot of hype in this industry and income claims which make people believe money will just land in their lap. It just doesn’t happen that way.
I’m fed up with this hype and drama, leaders flashing their paychecks, showing their “toys” and saying if you just follow me, you can have this too.
What people are really wanting to know is whether you are a person of integrity, authentic, whether you’ll be there when they need help and direction, whether there’s training and support and whether you really care about them and their success.
People want to do business with people they know, like and trust and connect with. Isn’t it nice to work with people you have things in common with? Its all about you. Its not about products or companies. You need to brand yourself which makes you way more attractive as a leader. It’s a relationship business today, not a sales business. Relationship building is key.
Here’s a BIG SECRET. When people buy a product or service from you they are not just buying the product or service, they are buying YOU.
The best way to help people is to first gain their trust, and over time as they get to know you they will be more receptive to what it is you have to offer, be it information, education, support, or a product or service of some kind.
Are you a leader, a person who can recognize an opportunity and be willing to learn and implement? An action taker? A person who truly desires to unleash your power within and live your life purpose?
